Perioperative Registered Nurse - OR Circulator

We have an immediate opening for an experienced RN OR Circulator.  Must have 4+ years OR experience.  The position is part-time, possibly full-time (3-5 days/week) with the following benefits: Paid Time Off (PTO), Holiday Pay, Lunch provided, no weekend work and a generous 401(k) Plan.  Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance included for full-time positions.

 Job Summary:

Provides safe, quality patient care in the perioperative area.   Accountable for the assessing, planning, implementing and coordinating patient care from admission to discharge.

 

Essential Functions, Duties & Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Assesses patient status on admission to the operating room and/or the post-op area, and on a continuing basis.
  • Provides safe, therapeutic quality care to patients by utilizing the nursing process and nursing diagnosis in a timely manner and by setting appropriate priorities. 
  • Ensures provision of patient care in an organized and timely manner.
  • Utilizes nursing care standards when planning and implementing patient care.
  • Communicates appropriate information regarding patient conditions to those who require the information including, surgeons, anesthesia, management and other staff.
  • Safely carries out physician’s orders correctly and promptly, documenting all activities.
  • Displays an understanding of each patient’s cognitive, physical, emotional and chronological maturity in assessments, treatment, and care.
  • Maintains competencies to function in RN role within specific area, including conscious sedation administration and monitoring of sedated patient and airway protection.
  • Expertise in safety principles, asepsis, sterile technique and universal precautions.
  • Assesses, anticipates and implements appropriate care throughout the surgical process.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, prioritizes work to meet the changing needs of the department.
  • Document and perform nursing care in assigned area based on standards of care and practice, and company policies and procedures.
  • Adhere to all policies and procedures, including but not limited to standards for confidentiality, Infection Control, safety (OSHA), attendance, punctuality and personal appearance.
  • Must be willing to work flexible hours as needed and/or requested by Manager.

Education/Training Level Qualifications:

  •  RN from a licensed school and license in good standing with Washington State.
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience working as RN in an Operating Room.
  • CPR, ACLS & PALS certified
  • Leadership qualities

 Other Qualifications:

  • Ability to effectively interact with physicians, patients and other staff members.
  • Strong verbal and written communication for high-level communication.
  • Strong knowledge of computers to utilize Electronic Health Record program effectively.

Salary dependent on experience.                                                      

Perioperative Registered Nurse PreOP/PACU (Per Diem)

We have a per diem position open for an experienced perioperative RN for the Pre-Op and Post-Op departments.  We are a busy, fast-paced, multi-specialty Ambulatory Surgery Center open Monday-Friday.

  • 2+ years perioperative experience, with an understanding of outpatient surgery
  • CPR Certified
